Get ta Stepping! Steps Challenge 2022

REGISTRATION - Each team is required to complete a registration form. All teams will have a maximum of five members. Groups with less than the maximum members will receive no concessions. THE COMPETITION IS OPEN TO HARVEST MEMBERS and family.
DURATION - August 1 - 28, 2022 – four weeks
COMPETITION GOALS - Each participant should aim for a minimum of 10,000 steps per day for 5 days each week. Please note that the score for the best five days each week will be recorded for the competition. The Team and individual with the highest scores at the end of the competition will win a prize.
RULES OF ENTRY
Submit team entry forms by July 28, 2022
• List of team members including Team Champion (leader) to be submitted by July 28,
2022.
• Team members are responsible for reporting their step activities to their assigned
wellness champion each Monday by 12:00noon (Aug 8,15,22,29).
• Evidence of steps should be provided – could be report from app or picture of app
with steps and dates recorded. Verbal reports should not be accepted.
• ONLY in extenuating circumstances such as vacation or business travel where the
participant is not on island, will late submissions be accepted. In this case, the
participant should present the results as soon as possible the following week.
• Results will be published weekly
• Each participant must record their OWN steps and not share the tracker persons
outside the challenge.
• Recommended app for tracking steps is PACER available in App stores
DISCLAIMER: As a participant in this competition, I acknowledge that exercise can involve risk of personal injury especially if I am not in good physical health. Please keep in mind that you are especially at risk if you: (1) Have a family history of heart disease; (2) Smoke; (3) Have high blood pressure; (4) Are diabetic, obese or sedentary; (5) Are a male 45 or older, or a female 55 or older.
