What To Expect

WHAT IS SERVICE LIKE

Get to know more about what makes us different.

In each service we celebrate our God in a real, down-to-earth, passionate experience. The services have contemporary worship music with a praise band. We are always seeking great new expressions of our passion for Him. In addition, we are committed to proclaim the truth of God’s word as we walk through a passage of scripture each week. The total service is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Most people stand during our time of worship, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto a screen at the front of the sanctuary. Our hope is that you’ll hear songs you know or can relate to, even if you haven’t been to church in years.

Like most churches we take an offering in our service. If you are a guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. This is intended for our regular attendees who consider Harvest their church home.
During our connection time, we ask that you take a few moments to complete our Connection Register when it comes to you.  The Connection Register can be found in the pocket of the pew in front of you. After completing the Connection Register, please pass it to those sitting next to you so they can complete it as well. The Connection Register is used to help us get to know you a bit. It is a place where you can request information, ask for prayer, let us know your thoughts, or just indicate your presence with us. In any case, we use it to pray for you during the week. So whether you are a first time visitor or you call Harvest your home, please complete the Connection Register.

Harvest provides practical Bible messages that help you deal with real life issues. We’ll even give you a handy outline with the main points and Bible verses in the bulletin. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Every week we will go through a passage of scripture as we seek to meet our God, find Him absolutely fulfilling, and go away different for having met with Him. Bring a Bible if you can. We use them every week! We have some to borrow if you do not have one.

We provide sermon outlines via our app and website to help you in your discipleship journey.  By the way, we preach from the English Standard Version.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

At Harvest Bible Chapel, we focus on the heart more than the outward appearance. When you come to our weekend service, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans or shorts, to as formal as suits and dresses. However, most people find themselves somewhere in the middle–most often wearing business casual.
We do ask that people wear clothing that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.

WHEN SHOULD I COME?

We would recommend getting to the church at least 10 minutes before the service start time so that you can park and get into the service. If you have children you will want to come at least 15 minutes early to allow for check in of your children.

What about the kids?

During our services we have Harvest Kids (Children’s Ministry) catering to ages birth to 10 years old.  This program allows you to enjoy a great time of worship while your child has an age appropriate experience as well.
