Countdown to launch
WHO WE ARE
Harvest Bible Chapel is a non-denominational, Evangelical Christian, Vertical Church. In our services, our ministries, our music — in everything we do at Harvest, our passion and focus are to bring God glory through His Son Jesus Christ.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, Harvest Bible Chapel will be planted in Barbados in 2017
Harvest exists to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) in the spirit of the Great Commandment.
THE 3 W’S
The path of authentic discipleship is a lifetime of following Jesus Christ more consistently and closely. We believe that the evidence of a mature disciple is manifested when one worships Christ, Walks with Christ and Works for Christ.
We believe that true biblical worship involves more than just singing songs about God or to God. It requires making Christ the focus and motivation for everything we do so that we bring glory to God in every area of our lives.
WALK WITH CHRIST
We believe that walking with Christ involves growing in our personal relationship with Jesus through faithful study of God’s Word, prayer and fellowshipping and doing life with other Christ followers.
WORK FOR CHRIST
We believe the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ should be active participants in the local church by serving fellow brothers and sisters as well as in their local communities by sharing the good news of the Gospel with others.
THE 4 PILLARS
These four pillars are represented not just in our services or in the leadership, but in the fabric of everything we do as a Church.
Proclaiming the authority of God’s Word without apology. – 2 Timothy 4:2
We are passionate about what God’s Word says. We don’t spend a lot of time thinking about what you WANT to hear, but we do spend a lot of time thinking about what GOD wants said.
Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship. – John 4:24
HE IS GOD! He deserves our most passionate, fervent adoration. The music and the testimonies of God at work are planned to inspire a passionate expression of worship to the Triune God: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Believing firmly in the power of prayer. – Ephesians 6:18
Prayer is not an event or simply a planned “service”. Prayer reflects our dependency of God. Harvest Barbados will follow the invitation that God gave in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you did not know.”
Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness. – Ephesians 6:19-20
Harvest isn’t subtle, sneaky, or secretive. We believe the greatest news anyone could ever hear is the gospel of Jesus Christ. So we want to tell everyone straight up, as clearly as we can about how God has made Himself known, has made a way for sins to be covered, and is offering eternal life to any who will believe.
